LE HAGGIS @ BIG BURNS SUPPER, DUMFRIES SCOTLAND

'Le Haggis' at the Big Burns Supper in Dumfries, Scotland, is my port o' call this weekend !!

BBC Reporter Willie Johnston Reviews my Show Stealing Performance - 'Daring and unique'

"However, the lady who added the biggest dose of spice to Le Haggis was the show-stealing exotic dancer Empress Stah.
Her near-nude performance on a hoop suspended from the ceiling of the Spiegeltent was beautiful and spellbinding - highly sexual but never tawdry - and the fact that it was performed to a haunting rendition by Caileag's Holly Little of My Love is Like a Red Red Rose put it completely into context.
Towards the end of her aerial contortions, Burns himself strode on to present the dancer with a bunch of roses which she accepted before seductively tearing off the petals with her hands and her teeth.
I do believe the Bard might, for once, have been lost for words."

So get ya kilt on, let it all hang loose, and get down to the show to end all shows ....

'MONEY $HOT @ PEEP' - EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL

Cabaret legend Empress Stah, brings a brand new, late night, adults only, show to PEEP, the pop up Peep Show Venue, nestled in Assembly’s George Square Gardens.

Watch from the safety of your own wipe clean peep show booth as ‘Empress Stah & Friend’ Flash, Thrust & Mime their way through half an hour of unadulterated cabaret filth, with more sexual innuendo then you can poke a stick at.

KSEVT: CULTURAL CENTRE OF EUROPEAN SPACE TECHNOLOGIES

In June 2013 I took a trip to visit KSEVT, nestled in the hills of Vitanji, Slovenia. This small town is home to one of the pioneers of spaceflight, Herman Potocnik Noordung, author of the book 'The Problem of Space Travel - The Rocket Motor'. The design of the building derives from the plans for a habitable wheel, one of the three parts of a geostationary space station, as described in Potocniik's book.

Q.1. If all of humankind belongs to space, does all space belong to humankind?
Q.2. Can you remember your first space-love experience and did it involve art?

STORY OV THEE I (The Story of the Eye)

'Story Ov Thee I' - Aerial / Performance Art - Video Trailer from Empress Stah on Vimeo.

This performance is inspired by the Georges Bataille novel ‘The Story of the Eye’ and the ‘Three marks of Existence’ within Buddhism. An aerial hoop act is choreographed to music by ‘Othon & Tomasini’, with salt, blood, eggs and eyeballs featuring throughout.
The music in the video is 'Sex is a Contract, History is a Trick' by Uniform.
The performance is 12.30 mins long and includes the opening refrain of
'Superstar' from 'Jesus Christ Super Star'.
Filmed, incidentally, by Thomas Knights @ Torture Garden, London.

See Cabaret section of this site for more information and pictures.
