The 4th International Space Arts Workshop took place at NASA Research Park, California on the 20 - 22nd May 2013.
Although I was unable to attend in person, I was lucky enough to be involved in an online Hangout with luminaries of the Space Arts scene including Daniela De Paulis, Richard Lowenberg, Frank Pietronigro, Annick Bureaud, Rob La Frenais, Nahum Mantra and Julian Priest.
The Hangout was projected at the conference and attendees were able to interact with us as well : ))
This was the first Hangout and once we overcame some technical difficulties we got onto the subjects of ourselves before discussing some broader points relating to Arts in Space.
Here is a picture of me projected on the wall at the Conference.

See SPACE EXPLORER section for more details.

EMPRESS STAH IN SPACE @ THE SOHO THEATRE, LONDON |
|
Commissioned for SPILL Festival of Performance
LONDON PREMIER: 10TH - 13TH APRIL 2013

'Empress Stah in Space' is part of an ongoing project with a long term ambition; to create a performance in outer space. As part of this, Empress Stah has floated in 'Zero Gravity ' and made a film as 'The Star Ship Trooper' in the red light district of Amsterdam.
Misanthropic yet optimistic, irreverent whilst embracing, the performance is set on the plane of immanence, and will attempt to create a lens through which to to gaze beyond the incessant mutterings of established thinking and into the essence of the human experience.
Meditation and transcendence are often hinged on stories of levitation, and through the physical experience of weightlessness, Empress Stah, inspired by the reality of the constantly shifting perspective, has begun to explore a new interpretation of the sacred.
The narrative has been transcribed through trance and writing sessions between Empress Stah and seminal artist Ron Athey, which took place at Bentwaters, the site of the biggest, purported UFO/Miltary incident in Europe.
The 11 interconnected actions are bought to life using 3D animation and video mapping technologies, and include original tracks by electro clash super star, Peaches, and legendary punk poet, Lydia Lunch.
Hailing from the underground cabaret circuit, Empress Stah delivers genre-defying performances that fuse sublime aerial artistry and thought provoking acts. Ron Athey is an internationally renowned performance and body artist from Los Angeles.

In addition, people from all over the world have contributed their own mini-protest videos calling for the release of Pussy Riot.
