The Infinity Tank was conceived in 2014 as part of a research and development project, Infinite Space. The R & D was supported by The Arts Council of England and The National Centre for Circus Arts, via a Lab Time Grant and the Esme Fairbairn Foundation.

it has existed in multiple iterations including as an immersive Mirror Selfie Booth for Facebook and an event installation for H & M Music.
